32 of the schools top rugby and hockey players in Years 9 & 10 attended a gifted and talented workshop at Exeter University last week. Pupils were treated to sessions from Exeter University 1st team coaches and 1st team players. The sessions were also held on Exeter state of the art facilities with the boys playing on the artificial rubber crumb pitch of the same type used by Saracens and Cardiff Blues. The girls played on the water based hockey pitch which was very different from the surface of top pitch. There are more sessions to come with Badminton, Tennis and Netball sessions all planned for 2015.
